Freaky fast, more like freaky slow. I ordered food on my wedding day for me and my groomsmen so that we could be well fed before the ceremony and ensuing craziness. Unfortunately, I did not leave an hour for the food to be delivered. After 45 minutes of waiting I called the store to inquire as to the status of our order, and I was rudely told to wait for the delivery driver to come to our hotel. When he finally showed up, he was gruff and disrespectful. Everything came together, but having our food delivered so slowly definitely caused a rush in getting ready for my wedding; a rush that was unnecessary, especially given the advertised speed of delivery from Jimmy Johns. In the time it took our food to be delivered, we could have walked to the restaurant, sat down and ate our food, and then walked back to our hotel. Unacceptable. Do not order food from this Jimmy Johns for delivery if you do not have at least an hour to wait for the food, as we were 0.7 miles away and it took just over an hour to get our delivery.

Food: average sandwiches, but beware of the chips - they are fried in peanut oil. Service: Would not recommend their delivery. I've been to other Jimmy John's shops and the sandwiches are generally tasty, as sub shops go. The issue I had with this particular location was with their so-called 'freaky fast' delivery. The problem: not only was it not fast, it was non-existent. I placed my order online so I could pay with a credit card and did my best to use the tiny comments section to describe how to reach my tough-to-find office. {Only 50 characters, really? Why not a standard 140?} I gave them my cell number to call me if there were any problems. I placed the order and forgot about it until I looked at the clock and noticed that it had been an hour and still no sandwich. So, I called the store and they said, "We weren't able to find your office." The person on the phone offered to try to deliver it again but I had to go to a meeting and couldn't wait for another delivery attempt. Their failure to call me to ask for directions, not the delivery person and not the manager at the store, has me looking for a different sandwich shop. I hear Potbelly delivers.

At rehearsals for the musicals at BRAVO, a good majority of the actors (including me) get their lunch from Jimmy John's. Why? It's extremely delivery, a good sandwich, and a good price. I think the most somebody waited was 15 minutes. Our lunch breaks are about 20 minutes, and youo can probably can shove one of the sandwiches down your throat in about 5 minutes. Not too bad for this hungury BRAVO crowd.

Grabbed a sandwich from this location after I had my nails done next door. It was probably around 5:30 and there were a lot of people working there, but I was the only customer in the store. Apparently, they are all about fast on the part of everyone. I haven't been in a Jimmy John's for awhile, so I was looking at the menu trying to decide which sandwich I wanted. I wasn't even standing near the counter, on the chance a mad rush appeared and was all set to order. You'd think the guy behind the register was going to have a heart attack for taking up his precious time...even though he didn't do anything except stand there after I placed it! Settle down, sparky. Sandwich was tasty, but I can't give them more stars because the register guy needs to take a customer service class.

Freaky Fast, not this store. I have ordered from here before and never had problems, but after today I will not be going back. First - The order took 26 minutes to be delivered, and I live .4 MILES AWAY! Second - My order was wrong. Not like one item missing. There were FOUR main ingredients missing. THIRD - I called to complain, asked to speak to a manager, heard whom ever answered the phone yell for the manager and then before speaking in his "Customer voice" I heard Conor, the manager on duty say a very frustrated "Oh great". While he said they would replace the sandwich that leads me to ... FOURTH - The delivery guy took 22 minutes for the second order. I waited down stairs and had my door open and while my boyfriend was on the phone, with Conor again to ask why it was taking so long the delivery boy pulled up in his red Prius and proceeded to sit in his car (He was the same delivery boy we had with the first order tonight) and CALL MY BOYFRIEND to see where we lived. IDIOTS!

Clean and fast. Obnoxious music. Staff not overly friendly. That being said, this is pretty much the same food that you will get at any JJ location. Here is the problem for me: Jimmy John's does NOT know how to make a sandwich. Nothing against this location, they are all the same. It is just that speed is emphasized over proper sandwich making. A good sandwich is an art form. For instance-JJ puts the mayo and/or mustard on the meat and not the bread, so when the sandwich is closed, it is on the inside of the meat. This turns any sandwich into a squirt gun. It is just not proper sandwich making. Most of the sandwiches here are fairly nondescript. Mostly bland flavors that can use a little perking up. Extra onions helps some. And what is with the napkins? Is their some kind of napkin black market going on here? Unless you ask, they will give you ONE napkin per sandwich. They are not very accommodating to your likes or dislikes because there is not much that they can do here. The JJ model does not allow for much variation because this will slow them down. So no toasting and no melting. If you want your sandwich cut in half you better ask them to do it because they don't have silverware. The tuna salad is pretty awful. They asked me if I wanted it on a sub roll or wheat bread and they pointed to a container of wheat bread that looked like gigantic wheat sponges. I told them sub roll please. No sprouts at JJ anymore because sprouts scare the livin' crap out of them. This sucks because the veggie sub used to be pretty good.

Really it's ZERO stars. Food is good and quickly prepared. That's not my issue today. Let me say that my company and I have been coming to Jimmy John's for years and never had a problem. It's one of those 1 time problems that should NEVER be repeated ever again! It was the Day after X-mas when everyone is extra jolly..... I took my kids & their friends ice skating and then to get lunch at Jimmy John's. All the staff I see often were in good spirits as usual. The kids and I were enjoying our meal. I do not buy drinks for my kids so we usually get a cup for water. I do allow them from time to time to get a tiny splash (and I do mean a tiny splash) of lemonade into their water. Since we're long-time customers of Jimmy John's and most of them recognize me, I don't bother clearing it with the staff anymore. They've never had an issue with my kid putting a tiny splash of lemonade into his water. When out of nowhere, I hear a loud voice say, "those cups are for water only". I looked and there was this young lady shouting this to me from behind the counter. So, I said okay and looked at my son's cup. Wow, I was upset because what normally is a tiny splash, ended up being 1/4 cup of lemonade. Still not a big deal though. He probably thought mommy would let it slide since it's the holidays and they were with friends. Well, I explained that the cups were for water and showed him that he over did it while I dumped half of his water/soda into my daughter's cup. We continued to enjoy our meal.....wouldn't you? I hear an angry female voice yelling again, "Those CUPS are for water ONLY!!!" I turn and I see the same person again yelling from behind the counter. Mind you the restaurant was full of people so EVERYONE heard! She stared at me and my son and gave my poor boy the meanest look you could imagine! She was mad and she wanted my son and me to know. What would you do at this point? Smiling, I said, "yes, I know...I've got it" and then we continued chatting and enjoying our meal. Actually, I had just started eating my sub. (moms eat last after helping their kids). I was half way into my sub when this very very angry lady yells even louder from BEHIND THE COUNTER, "those CUPS are for WATER ONLY!!!. I looked at her and said, "yes, thanks, I am aware of that!". Then she yelled even angrier, "DUMP IT!....YOU GOTTA DUMP IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!" So that everyone in the restaurant heard. I said, "Oh, you wanted me to dump it....but it was a very small amount and I took care of it". To which she replied SCREAMING, "DUMP IT.....DUMP IT OUT!!! YOU HAVE TO DUMP IT OUT!!! I TOLD YOU THREE TIMES, THREE TIMES, YOU GOTTA DUMP IT OUT NOW!!!" Oh, man....this woman was yelling at me in front of my kids and the whole restaurant and see, now I was pissed! Controlling my temper I went over to the counter, as she should have to me, and I said, "excuse me mam, you only said that those cups were for water but I cannot read your mind, you never said you wanted us to dump out the little soda". She started yelling at me again repeating the same thing and ignoring what I'd just said. I said to her semi-calmly, "I don't have a problem paying for a cup of soda even though we only want a tiny amount, all you had to do was ask or tell me what you want....I cannot read your mind". Don't you know she turned her back at me and continued with whatever work she was doing. I was so ANGRY NOW my stomach started to hurt. I walked to the register, asked the guy to charge me for a soda but not to give me a cup. He looked over to see my son's cup and he said, "don't worry, it's fine!"... Then I said, "no, apparently it's not fine because that woman over there says it's not fine so I've gotta pay for something we're not going to consume!" So, I paid for it. I wish I could remember the amount. I asked him for the lady's name to report her and he said "Miranda". I asked him for the supervisor's name and he said, "that's her, Miranda...she's the store manager". WOW!, I said. I could not believe that. That nasty woman was the supervisor. How terrible! Well, so I asked him for her boss's name. He said Nick is the regional manager. I was so so angry that I could not eat anymore because my stomach was hurting so badly. I had the other half of my sandwich still intact but I couldn't stomach being there any longer. I went and told Miranda that she was being very unprofessional yelling at me and the kids from behind the counter and not specifying what it was she really wanted. I told her she had horrible customer skills and that she should not be working near kids. Furthermore, I told her I was appalled that she was the manager.....unbelievable! I also told her she made me feel sick and that I would NEVER eat at Jimmy John's again. Neither I, nor my family, nor my friends, nor my company who used to frequent the place often would eat there again after this one instance. She didn't care. She never apologized.

The point of franchises, as I see it, is to deliver one's product to a mass amount of people by opening multiple stores - often owned by different owners but required for the most part to be maintained in the likeness of the original - by which to accomplish this goal. Well, in that case, this Jimmy John's is pretty much like every other Jimmy John's I've been to. I'd give it three stars for my experiences here because: 1) the food tastes like every other Jimmy John's I've been to and 2) service is as quick as any other Jimmy John's I've been to. Unfortunately, I have to knock off a star because the bastards forgot my mayo. I ordered a BLT through their website, requested no mayo, but asked for mayo packets. I know this sounds incredibly stupid because I'm asking for something that I've asked them to remove, but JJs is a habitual offender of over-mayonnaising sandwiches. Even if you request, "light on the mayo," the subjectivity of what 'light on mayo' means from one person to the other is not something I like to mess with. In any case, a BLT must have mayo, but too much mayo disgusts me (carry over from my aversion to white foods as a child b/c weirdness never dies), so I always ask for packets instead. In any case, BLT arrives - no mayo packets, and I have no mayo at my home. As a result, I ate a dry BLT. This unacceptable transgression warrants the removal of a star. I'm sure I'll order again in the future, and they'll make up for this mayo-tastrophy, but for now, let me be petty.

Dear Oak Park Jimmy John's, If you are going to transfer your customer's order to another location, you should do so quickly. An hour and ten minute wait for Jimmy John's is FREAKING ridiculous. Sincerely, The Hungry Girls Whose Lunch You Ruined

Sadly, worst Jimmy Johns I have been to is closest to the house. Music blasting, rude cashier who cannot hear me. We were the only customers. They were fast, though.

I usually order from them, but this time I just wanted some chips and they called me said I have to order a sandwich. But I met the required price which I think is BS!!
